Diabetic Clinic

Mon 9am – 12pm

The practice runs a regular diabetic clinic to give organised routine check-ups for diabetics.

Hypertension Clinic

Thur 1.30pm – 3.30pm

This clinic is designed to support those patients, whose blood pressure is poorly controlled, providing comprehensive screening, advice and relevant medication.

Immunisations

Walk-in Tuesday 9:30am - 11:00am

Routine children’s immunisations are done in our Tuesday morning  walk-in baby clinics (routine adult immunisations are by appointment with our nurses only).

Thrive Into Work

Wednesday 2:00pm - 4:00pm

The Thrive Into Work is a programme to help support people with a health condition to return to work. You can contact the service at 0121 262 3960 to book an appointment at the surgery. For further information visit www.thriveintowork.org.uk

Healthy Minds

Tuesdays 9:30am - 5:00pm

Birmingham Healthy Minds is an NHS primary care psychological therapy service that works closely with Birmingham GPs. It offers advice, information and brief psychological talking therapies for people aged 16 and over, who are often feeling anxious, low in mood or depressed. You can refer yourself to be seen by them at tthe surgery by calling 0121 301 2525 and for further information, please check the website  at https://www.bsmhft.nhs.uk/our-services/birmingham-healthy-minds/.

 

Tests

Blood Tests Friday 9:00am - 12:00pm

Blood tests and ECGs have to be authorised by the doctor, and are done within the surgery or at City Hospital.

Child Health

The health visitors offer practical support where needed for families with children.

The children clinic has now moved to Ladywood Children's Centre and is appointment only.

Asthma/COPD Monitoring

Our nurses offer check-ups for asthmatic patients and patients with COPD and help with inhaled treatments.

Coronary Heart Disease Clinic

The practice runs a regular clinic to give organised routine check-ups for people with coronary heart disease.

Minor Operations

We offer minor surgery, dealing with some small “lumps and bumps” under local anaesthetic. Please see a GP to arrange this.

Cervical Smear Tests

The Health Authority runs a recall system and our nurses do most of the routine smears.

Maternity Care

Our doctors offer pre-conception counselling, ante-natal care and post-natal care, shared with local midwives.

Family Planning & Sexual Health

Our doctors and nurses provide a full range of contraceptive services, including coil fitting.
